St. Martin Sheriff's deputies arrested two teens in connection with a Tuesday bomb threat hoax at Breaux Bridge High School.

A resource officer found a note in the boy's restroom at the school, threatening a bomb and a specific school official on Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman said.

Investigators traced the note to two teens who allegedly placed the note in the restroom. One is identified as Markaylon Carmouche, 17, and another was a juvenile, aged 16 years, the spokeswoman said.

Carmouche was booked with communication of false information of planned bombing on school property and assault on a school teacher.

The 16-year-old was cited for the same things, and released to the custody of his parents, the spokeswoman said.

The investigation is ongoing.

These types of incidents are very serious and those who partake in this type of activity will be held accountable to the full extent of the law, the spokeswoman said.
