Here's the latest Internet hoax that has bargain hunters worried - PennLive.com

Bargain shoppers don't have to fear their source for their favorite $1 items is disappearing: Dollar Tree is not closing.

The discount chain was the subject of yet another Internet hoax in which the stores were rumored to be closing in October.

Fact-checker Snopes.com says neither Dollar Tree, Dollar General or Family Dollar are closing.

Earlier this month, prank-news site React365 claimed all Dollar Tree stores were closing Oct. 1 because the chain is "just losing money too fast by selling so cheap."

The site asks users to clink a link for more information, although all that does is allow the post to be shared on Facebook.
