Reports that a leading toy company is producing a vape-shaped bubble toy called “My First Vape” are false. The purported children’s toy is not real and was actually created as a joke by a serial hoaxer.
According to Snopes, the fake claim originated on Pseudo News, a fake news and satire website. The article claimed that an unnamed toy company was producing the “My First Vape” toy for children in an effort to tackle the issue of underage smoking. It continued:
Vaping has been promoted amongst younger societies to tackle under age smoking which has become a growing problem across Europe.
While there have been mixed opinions about the new toy, Project manager, Steven Chase, told Pseudo News: “Bad habits from parents have been inflicted onto their children at a young age which is why we developed the baby vape.
We wanted to put a stop to this under age smoking by offering a safer alternative.
The report, however, is entirely fabricated. There is no toy company that is producing the “My First Vape” bubble toy or a vaping doll set. Both toys are completely fictitious. Pseudo News explains in their disclaimer that their articles are not meant to be taken seriously:

The fake toy hoax was first created by Adam Padilla, a meme maker who designs fake product advertisements. He was also behind the fake Fisher-Price “Happy Hour Playset” that was widely circulated on social media last year. After the hoax went viral, Padilla told Mashable that there was more to his parodies than meets the eye.
“It’s amazing to see and hopefully can inspire some creative thinking out there,” he said. “Most importantly, I feel like it’s crucial to scrutinize what you see online and not be too quick to accept things as factual just because you saw them posted someplace.”
Still, many questioned whether the “My First Vape” toy hoax was actually invented by Pfizer as part of some “anti-vaping agenda.” Padilla explained, however, that the fake toy “was intended to make parents laugh,” not be viewed as a political statement. The meme, which has no connection to the pharmaceutical company, is just another example of a controversial hoax going viral on social media.
The fake “My First Vape” children’s toy was created simply to put some humor back into daily life.
