GOP congressman calls Charlottesville protest 'a total hoax' set up by Clinton, Sanders supporters - AOL

A conservative congressman from California has called the violent event in Charlottesville, Virginia, a “total hoax” perpetrated by liberals. 

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher has indicated that, “Democrats were behind last month’s white nationalist riots in Charlottesville, Va.”

The media outlet further reports that Rohrabacher’s scenario includes a former Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders supporter who "got Civil War re-enactors to gather under the guise of protecting a Robert E. Lee statue there."
