Primary school evacuated after bomb hoax - Nottingham Post

A Nottingham primary school was evacuated by police.

Parents from Crabtree Farm were sent a message telling them to fetch their children from the Steadfold Close school.

The school has more than 450 pupils on roll.

Mum of two Tasha Croft, 26, of Basford, said: “I was in the car park and there was a lot of police in the area.

“I then got a text and jumped out the car and rushed to get the kids.

“I was then told to get the kids quickly and get off the property quickly.

“It was really scary.

“With the events in London today everyone is already on edge and this happens.

“I just wanted to get away.

“It puts the fear in you just sending the kids to school.”

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire police confirmed they were called to the school at 1.49pm.

Seven officers attended the scene.

The spokesman confirmed that it was a hoax.
