Celebs Go Dating, Nadia Essex

Celebs Go Datingfans were left baffled last night when the hit reality show was pulled off the schedule at the very last minute, with an episode of Come Dine with Me: Made in Chelsea airing instead.

Rumours began to spread on Twitter about the change, with a nasty one in particular claiming that star Nadia Essex had died.

Eventually the celebrity matchmaker posted on Twitter that she is very much alive, although she was deeply upset by the hoax.

"NO joke. Coming out of dinner2 twitter saying was cancelled because I died has really upset me," she tweeted. "My poor friends & family."

Retweeting relieved messages from her fans, Nadia added that the rumours were "really upsetting after such a traumatic day".

She continued: "Parsons Green is my nearest station so feeling very sensitive ATM.

"At first I was laughing by then saw how bad it was once all my tweets and messages came through. They were beside themselves."

Current contestant Bobby Norris also tried to quell the rumours, writing that Nadia was still "alive and fabulous".

As for why the show wasn't aired last night, Nadia has no idea either. But she did say she was looking into it.

Meanwhile, fellow matchmaker Eden Blackman has said that the episode must have been pulled "for good reason".

"Normal service should be resumed next week," he added.

Digital Spy has reached out for comment and will update accordingly.

Celebs Go Dating should continue on Monday at 10pm on E4.
