The website React365.com has done it again and this time, the internet hoax involves the Birmingham Zoo.
A story on the site claims a full grown male lion escaped from the Birmingham Zoo.
"Authorities say that at approximately 5:45 this evening that a 4-year-old male lion escaped the zoo as he was being fed the zoo keeper slipped and fell and the lion escaped. If you see the lion please call 911 immediately! Do not attempt contact and be sure to seek shelter immediately!" the story claims.
There's no link to an actual story, only a box where you can share it on Facebook where it will get spread far and wide.
It's all bogus. React365 is a site that lets people create their own stories in an effort to "prank" friends. These phony stories look like actual news updates, so they often get shared on Facebook and other social media where not everyone is in on the joke.
React365's website has a disclaimer at the bottom: "This website is an entertainment website, news is created by users. These are humorous news, fantasy, fictional, that should not be seriously taken or as a source of information."
React365 typically shows up on lists of fake news websites.
The Birmingham lion story is just the latest from the site. Another post - this one claiming Dollar Tree was closing all stores by October - went viral this week.
